Bruschetta Recipe

Add any topping you like but don't forget the plain extra virgin olive oil version
- the original and the best!

Toast the desired amount of sliced, firm, crusty bread. The traditional method is to toast the bread over an open fire so if you’re having a barbeque why not serve some bruschetta to start.

When toasted rub one side with a garlic clove and pour a good slug of extra virgin olive oil on top and sprinkle with a little salt.

To this can be added:
A sprinkling of cayenne pepper for a spicier alternative.
Finely chopped ripe tomatoes mixed with extra virgin olive oil, salt, pepper and fresh basil. This is best if you can leave it to meld for 30mins.
Thin slices of prosciutto crudo (cured italian ham).
Thin curls of parmigiano or other strong hard cheese.
Liver pate.
Anchovies.

Or try one of our infused oils, lemon, chilli or thyme - delicious!
